Stupid Story 03-29-05

My Video Card is like 2 years old, and my system is about a year and a half. Now, given that it continues to run everything I throw at it really fast, why do people still need to buy faster and faster systems? I mean, I read that you can connect 3+ video cards together. For what?!?

well, some people need more power than your average "the sims" player. Perhaps if i'm rendering some full-motion 3d video, I'd like it to complete in 30 minutes instead of 6 hours.

3d video is a good reason for a 3ghz processor, or a 300gb hard drive. 3 video cards? That just seems a bit excessive. Funny thing is, I wonder if Trespasser would run any faster? (Old school reference)

Yes, mainly the faster and high-end systems are for those who use intense graphics applications, run many, many programs at once, or who are hardcore gamers, like me. :)
