Stupid Story 03-10-05

Person #1: I broke my keyboard. I wasn't going to tell you, but I can't type without my space bar.
Person #2: What did you do to break it?
Person #1: I took out all the keys so that I could clean it, but I couldn't get the space bar back in right. So when I forced it down, I broke the little plastic leg off.

I did the same thing with my laptop.

I was eating some chips or something and a piece fell under the spacebar. I tried to get it out, but it didn't work. I then figured the only options I had were to pull the key out or listen to a crunching noise every time I hit the spacebar.

I chose the first option, but I really should have chosen the second.

I snapped the key out, rescued the chip, and put the bar back in--I ate the chip, of course. And now I have to put my spacebar out and back in every week or two, because it will occasionally just stop working.

Dell, how I loathe thee...

P.S. Oh, and by the way, be sure to visit my blog, and leave a post (and if you're from this site, then leave me a note that says that. Thanks.)
